Rhodes, Greece
A magnificent escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life, Rhodes in Greece.
It’s not a surprise this is such a popular destination, with its 124 miles of coastline, silk-sandy or pebble beaches and a beautiful landscape with characteristic pine and cypress trees – the island is a mesmerising place to be.
Rhodes is the largest of Greece’s Dodecanese islands. The natural landscape, ancient towns and picturesque villages meet amazing beaches, fashion boutiques and top restaurants. No wonder why Rhodes Greece never fails to surprise travelers from all over the world!
There are so many things to do in Rhodes! Visit the Acropolis of Lindos, the Valley of butterflies, Prasonisi where two seas the Aegean and the Mediterranean meet or do water sports and endless Rhodes tours. The adventure never stops, hence why I have been back 5 times!
Packed with golden beaches, a warm sea above 20 degrees from May to November, historic sightseeing, and plenty of resorts to help you to unwind and enjoy some first rate Greek hospitality.
Greece has always been one of my favourite places to visit with its cloud free blue skies and the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea. When you throw in the family of Atrium Hotels – it’s basically a dream come true.
Atrium Hotels
The Atrium Hotels offer three resorts in different parts of the island and they are a privately-owned hotel chain in Rhodes. They’re well established and known for their state of the art facilities, personalised services, exclusive luxury décor and fine hospitality within sumptuously designed buildings.
Every time I go back to Rhodes I stay at one of the 3 Atrium Hotels, Atrium Prestige, Atrium Palace or Atrium Platinum and the choice usually depends on what we have planned for the trip.
For those that like to stay close to cities/towns with a variety of activities, the Atrium Platinum Luxury Resort Hotel and Spa would be the perfect choice. Located on the Northern tip of Rhodes, nestled in a pristine cove of Ixia Bay.
Atrium Platinum Luxury Resort Hotel
The hotel combines the cosmopolitan atmosphere of a 5 star city hotel with the unrivalled magnificence of a seafront resort. It also offers spectacular views looking over the Aegean Sea and an outstanding range of accommodation.
Though we’ve been to the Atrium Platinum many times, somehow every visit is unique and the hotel never fails to impress us in a new and amazing way.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you are met with the lavishly decorated foyer, a warm welcome from the staff, a glass of champagne and a great selection of services and amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Exclusivi App, contact-free hospitality
Before I go on showing you the hotel I wanted to mention the Exclusivi App which no doubt you will use extensively if you visit one of the Atrium Hotels.
I do love a bit of technology especially if it can save me time running around and this is where the app Exclusivi becomes very helpful.
The app is a perfect ‘in hand’ solution to view all incoming entertainment, order food and drinks whether you are at the pool or in your room, book SPA treatments, restaurants, order room service and many more.
It goes without saying that I used the app a lot!
Enchanting 5 Star Accommodation
Offering a multitude of accommodation options, the Atrium Platinum Luxury Resort Hotel & Spa is focused on providing guests realm of relaxation, rejuvenation and indulgence.
Atrium Platinum encapsulates the essence of premium living with each of the stunning luxury guest bedrooms decked out with stylish furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows to make the room airy, spacious with amazing views to the sea and sunset.
All sea view rooms and seafront suites benefits from either a terrace, a balcony or a private pool to enjoy the Greek sunshine and sumptuous surroundings that you find yourself in.
If you like more than just a bit of luxury the ambassador and presidential suites would definitely tickle your fancy.
The Ambassador suite has two master bedrooms, each with its own fully furnished balcony and bathrooms, a spacious lounge-dining area, an office room with balcony and a large veranda where guests can sunbathe as they gaze at the miraculous 180 degree vistas of the sea and sunset.
A true masterpiece for exclusive use!
Restaurants
Greek cuisine is sought after across the world and I can’t imagine a trip to Rhodes without sampling the local dishes.
Archipelagos Main Restaurant
The restaurant with its chic ambiance and stylish design offers a buffet breakfast, lunch and a dinner, waiter service and let’s not forget about the magnificent views out on to the sea front.
If you opt in for B&B, half board or full board this is the restaurant you will dine in. Other restaurants come with an additional charge depending on your package. This year the hotel has also introduced an all inclusive package that includes drinks in all bars and 1 meal per A la carte restaurant, per week/per stay & per room.
The choice of food and drinks seems to be endless. There is something for everyone and believe me there is no chance to get through the variety of food within just a week!
I’m a huge foodie but putting this aside, what made our stay perfect was the staff. Everyone is so pleasant, attentive and always happy to chat. If you know me then it does not come as a surprise that I spent a lot of time chatting to everyone!
Porfyra Greek Restaurant
Named after the luxury non-fading dye used by Greeks to colour ceremonial robes, this rooftop restaurant offers a colourful palette of authentic gourmet Greek and international cuisine – and views that amaze!
This place is a must every time I stay at Atrium Platinum.
It was such a pleasure to meet the staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive and super helpful with the choice of food and wine. If you decide to stay at Atrium Platinum this restaurant is a must.
Koi Roof Top Asian Restaurant
Inspired by Asian cuisine and culture, with an extensive dinner menu and unobstructed views of the Aegean Sea.
The dinner we had at Koi was another unforgettable experience at the Atrium Platinum. Everything from the delicious food, a fabulous choice of wine, a view to dream of, and the attentive staff – just perfect.

Elia & Tramonto – Mediterranean Cuisine
Fantastic Al fresco Greek dining experience named after the Greek word for olive.
If you like outdoor dining and the sea breeze this is the place for you right by the pool.
Personal Pool Dining
On those lazy days when you can’t be bothered to leave the room, the in-room dining is the perfect option. For me personally, once you experience the luxury and tranquility of the private pool, there is no going back.
I really enjoy the peacefulness and privacy that comes with the room pools – it’s just me, a book, a fantastic view over the Aegean Sea and an ‘optional’ glass of champagne.
Just use the Exclusivi App to order food and drinks and voila!
Bars
Chromata Bar or Rotonda Bar are perfect places to relax and unwind.
Chromata Lobby Bar
Inspired by the hues of the sunset, the natural surroundings and the endless sea view. This is also the place where the evening entertainment takes place!
Rotonda Pool Bar
Perfect and convenient for lunch time light snacks and refreshing drinks. You can use Atrium Hotels Exclusivi App to order food and drink from the convenience of your lounger.
Activities
One thing for sure, boredom is the last thing to worry about if you are staying at Atrium Platinum!
If you want to work up a sweat, the hotel has a fitness centre with the latest gym equipment, as well as tennis and squash courts.
How about a game of giant chess?
Or a bit of aqua aerobics!
These are just a few of the options that the hotel offers to keep guests active.
Evening Entertainment
Evening themed live music/dance shows – my absolute favorite, from the Greek Night Show, Latin Dance Show, and Reggae night – to live music with the genuinely amazing Encore Rock Band (in the video).

Sumptuous Pools
A relaxing swim in the pool is something I can’t ever resist. If you are after a more adventurous dive in the emerald waters of the sea, just across the hotel the public beach awaits to offer you an incredible day in the sun.

Premium Thalasso Spa
The Atrium Spa is the perfect place to get pampered with a wide range of premium massages and beauty treatments. The Spa use my favourite Thalgo products including: sensory textures inspired by the sea, foam texture, aqueous gel, spray, fresh water, sun-kissed beach oil, and scrub with grains of sand.
One of the products that I have been using for years (that I discovered in the Atrium Platinum Spa) is the reviving marine mist. You can look it up HERE. It’s super hydrating and it smells divine.
You can read about all available treatments and book an appointment in the tranquility of your own room using the Exclusivi app. It’s super easy and saves you time walking back and forth booking your treatments.
Safe and carefree heaven
It goes without saying that the hotel has taken all the necessary measures to create a safe environment for guests. You can learn more HERE but in the meantime a few highlights of what you can expect during your stay.

In summary when I think about Atrium Platinum, the things that come to mind are a truly magical sea view, lux private pools, lush and chic decor, fantastic and welcoming hospitality and the the most delicious food. And these are just a few to mention!
Atrium Platinum nearby
(i) The Atrium Platinum is brilliantly set in close proximity to Rhodes International Airport (RHO) (a 20 minutes drive).
(ii) Just 4 km away from the island’s Medieval “Old Town” designated as a World Heritage site. In Rhodes – history comes to life in every backstreet of the medieval old town. The Colossul of Rhodes, a giant bronze statue, is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and it was once standing on the harbour of the ancient city.
(iii) The beach – just 1 minute walk.
(iv) The ancient Acropolis in Lindos – 50 minutes drive
(v) Vibrant bars and restaurants in Rhodes Old Town – with my favorites being Sarris Tavern and Golden Olympiade. Just 5 minutes drive away. We had the most amazing time which wouldn’t be possible without the most dedicated and hard working staff. The list could go forever as everyone was incredible and everything was just impeccable.

We came back four times, so it’s safe to say the hotel is amazing! If you ever find yourself there, I seriously recommend getting one of the rooms with a private pool – you can’t beat the spectacular views looking over the west coast whilst enjoying a swim and a glass of wine!
